Number of hours spent driving in a beatup old pickup truck: 12

Cost of gas: Tearworthy

Number of rallies following John F. Kennedy's historic 1960 tour: 8

Number of hours spent on the bus for the Tour for Change: 16

Rusty the Labor Dog In West Virginia

West Virginia is Labor country. I remember a stat just a few years ago from the BLS (labor stats) that West Virginia electricians make more per hour than electricians in the District of Columbia. And this was due to the unions. You can still hire a non-union electrician in DC (why would you do this?) where as in West Virginia, you'd be hard pressed to do it. It makes me very proud of West Virginia.

So, when I saw this diary about West Virginia on Dailykos, I just had to read it.

Not only did I read it, but I got to see the cool picture of Rusty the Labor Dog. I think he should be the new Uniongal mascot, don't you? Come on, just look at that face (and don't miss the button!!)!!
